The game saves your progress and preferences locally on your device, including: level progress and stars, coins and power-ups, your gentle streak and daily-goal progress, Zen Garden growth, encouragement lines you save to your Comfort Journal, and your accessibility and sound settings. None of this is transmitted to us. We cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes this data.
If you purchase Soothe Plus or an in-app item, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their payment terms — we never see your payment card details. To recognize your subscription across sessions and devices, we use RevenueCat, which processes purchase receipts and a randomly generated app user identifier on our behalf. This identifier is not your name or email. RevenueCat acts as our service provider and may not use this data for its own purposes.
When you use "Share" (for example, sharing an encouragement quote card), the image is generated on your device and handed to your phone's share menu. Content leaves your device only when you choose where to send it. Saved Comfort Journal entries stay on your device.
Soothe Quest is designed for adults living with chronic illness and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, and portability. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests are satisfied by the steps above — but you can always contact us and we will help.
Gameplay data lives on your device and is retained until you delete it. Purchase-related identifiers are retained while needed to honor your subscription and for legal/accounting requirements, then deleted.
Soothe Quest is a wellness and entertainment app. Encouraging messages in the game, drawn from The Resilient Path, are supportive content — not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and your use of the app does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Please direct health decisions to your own clinicians.
If we add features that change what data is handled (for example, optional cloud backup or analytics), we will update this policy and change the effective date above before those features go live.
